360 View From the Top of Mt Everest

February 25th 2009 09:09
Mt Everest is the tallest mountain on Earth, standing at a staggering 8,848 metres (29,029 ft) above sea level. At that height visibility can be very low and conditions can be incredibly inhospitable, changing in an instant. However when the air is clear it does literally look like the top of the world. Below is an incredible 360 degree scenic view from the summit of Earth's highest mountain.

Wow. That's a phenomenal image. Strange, as it's both impressive and dull at the same time: impressive because it's beautiful and something rarely seen by any of us, dull because a photo simply can't do it justice. Imagine what it'd be like to look out on all that... must make a person feel very, very small and insignificant before the majesty of nature!!

Yes, it would without doubt be the most awe-inspiring view on Earth. Especially if you had put in all the hard work and training to get there on your own, and knowing you are one of such an extremely small percentage of the population who will ever see that view with their own eyes.

As Human beings on this planet, even our war-mongering folk would stop an look AND hopefully re-evaluate their goals in life looking at this awe inspiring view, personal and political gain would melt as the person looks upon God's wonders, pity it would be so short lasting.

I have seen some of our wonderful planet, but this is, unfortunatly for me a sight I cannot ever see, except from the kindness of people that risk their lives for science and adventure, that is the Human way.

To be able to have the wherewithal and drive to go there and see for your self this vista alone makes you a special person, and count your blessings that you have used yoe eyes for a wonderful purpose and come back to normality and used your technology to show us folk the true wonder we all percieve to be out there, physicly, spiritually and philosophically.
