Manhattan Skyline at Night

Manhattan is a borough of New York City, New York, USA, coterminous with New York County. Although its 2000 population of 1,537,195 is only third largest of the five boroughs — after Brooklyn (2000 population of 2,465,326) and Queens (2,229,379) it is the most densely populated county in the United States. If all five boroughs were independent cities, Manhattan would rank as the sixth most populous city in the United States.
Manhattan is the borough most closely associated with New York City; even residents of New York City's outer boroughs will describe a trip to Manhattan as "going to the city". A commercial, financial, and cultural centre of the world, Manhattan has many famous landmarks, theatres, museums and universities. It is also home to the Statue of Liberty, the headquarters of the United Nations and the seat of city government.
Manhattan is the economic engine of New York City, with its 2.3 million workers drawn from the entire New York metropolitan area accounting for almost two thirds of all jobs in New York City.
New York City is home to the most corporate headquarters of any city in the nation, the overwhelming majority based in Manhattan. Midtown Manhattan is the largest central business district in the United States. Lower Manhattan is home to both the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ, and is the nation's third-largest central business district.

Manhattan looks like a beautiful place although I've never been, but I'm sure I'll make it there one day!
