Why aren't humans top of the list?

The Taipan is the deadliest snake and the Funnel web spider always warrants a mention.

Don't Hippos kill more people every year than Lions?

Hi JD,

Yeah we should be at the top but we're let off because this list was for the animals only! I agree that Hippos should probably be on there, but everyone will have different opinions.
I guess it's how you define "deadliest" - number of kills, capability to kill, reputation, kills per encounter or capita, etc
